Finals Results | Prelims Results
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On the second day of the 2018 NCAA Zone B Championships, Georgia Tech’s Matt Casillas posted a 16th-place finish to highlight a trio of Jackets in the men’s 1-meter springboard dive event on Tuesday in Knoxville, Tenn.
Casillas reached the finals of the 1-meter dive by placing 11th overall in the prelims with a score of 309.85. In the finals event, the junior posted a score of 275.70 to finish 16th overall.
Also competing for the Jackets in the 1-meter event on Tuesday were freshmen Henry Carman and Jacob Kreider. Carman placed 26th overall with a prelims score of 259.05, finishing one spot in front of fellow teammate Kreider in 27th-place with a score of 256.15.
Tech’s Casillas, Nolan Mallet and Paige Gohr will all compete tomorrow in the men’s and women’s platform events. The men will dive in the morning with the prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 11:55 a.m., while the women’s platform dive will take place in the afternoon session with the prelims at 2:45 p.m. and the finals set for 4:15 p.m.
