Caroline Lilley Transfers to Tech Women's Tennis Program

Aug. 10, 2010

ATLANTA – Caroline Lilley, the former No. 1 recruit in Oregon and a two-year letterwinner at Kentucky, has transferred to Georgia Tech and will join the Yellow Jackets’ women’s tennis program this season.

“I am really looking forward to Caroline joining our program,” head coach Bryan Shelton said. “She is a player who has already come a long way in such a short time. I think she has just scratched the surface towards her true potential, and I look forward to helping her realize more of her potential. She has skills that will help us both in singles and doubles.”

Lilley competed at No. 2 singles for the Wildcats last season. Over her two seasons in Lexington, Lilley earned 32 singles wins, including 25 as a freshman. She twice earned Southeastern Conference Rookie of the Week honors.

As a junior, Lilley was ranked as the No. 68 recruit in the nation and the No. 1 recruit in Oregon. She was named All-State and All-District three times.
