Butler Selected to All-ACC Team

ATLANTA — Georgia Tech sophomore Niesha Butler earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference third team honors today following a vote by the Atlantic Coast Sports Writers Association (ACSWA).

The 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year, Butler leads the Yellow Jackets and is sixth in the conference with 15.6 points per game. She is second on the squad with 49 steals and tied for third with 67 assists. Butler, who missed the 1999-2000 campaign with a medical hardship, was named to the All-ACC second team as a freshman.

The Yellow Jackets begin competition in the ACC Tournament on Friday with a 6:00 p.m. game against North Carolina in Greensboro, N.C.
