THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech Athletic Association has announced that Atlanta Braves’ organist Matthew Kaminski will play live during four Yellow Jacket baseball games at Russ Chandler Stadium this season.
Kaminski, who is entering his fifth season as the official organist for the Atlanta Braves, provides in-game music entertainment during every Braves’ game at Turner Field.
After making his Rusty C debut against Miami last season, Kaminski has been scheduled four times on the Flats in 2013.
Of the four weekend contests during which Kaminski will play, three of them are against ACC competition. His season debut is set for Saturday, February 16 versus Akron as a part of Tech’s opening-weekend festivities. He returns for ACC play when the Jackets battle Wake Forest on Friday, March 29th, Virginia on Saturday, April 13, and North Carolina on Friday, May 10.
Kaminski graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s of music from Georgia State in 2000 and also holds a master’s degree in music from GSU. He currently teaches at The Peggy Still School of Music’s Alpharetta and Atlanta locations, and has taught at the college level for Georgia Tech.
