GREENSBORO, NC – Georgia Tech track and field sophomore Brandon Lasater finished 10th in the 800 meters Friday at the NCAA East Preliminaries at Irwin Belk Track inside of Aggie Stadium on the campus of North Carolina A&T to qualify for the NCAA Championships set for June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.

Lasater took 10th place in the event and shaved almost two seconds off his time from Thursday with a 1:48.49 performance to make the national meet. The top 12 in each event earn a spot in the championship meet.
