Benito Falls in ITA All-Americans Qualifiers

TULSA, Okla. – Georgia Tech men’s tennis senior Carlos Benito fell in the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA All-Americans singles qualifier on Monday afternoon to Duke’s No. 100 Catalin Mateas, 6-2, 6-4.

Benito’s time in Tulsa is not yet up. He pairs up with junior Christopher Eubanks for the doubles main draw starting on Thursday, Oct. 6. The pair is ranked No. 14 in the ITA preseason poll after boasting a 16-4 record for the 2015-16 season.

Eubanks is also gearing up for the singles main draw to begin on Oct. 6. This marks his official return as a Jacket following his busy summer and appearances in the US Open and American Intercollegiate Championship.
