Baseball Ranked Preseason No. 31

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech baseball received its second top-35 preseason poll selection on Monday, when the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced the Yellow Jackets rank 31st in the country heading into the 2019 season.

The twice nationally ranked Yellow Jackets are one of just seven Atlantic Coast Conference teams to earn a spot on the NCBWA top-40 poll and are the third-highest ranked team in the Coastal Division and the eighth-highest ranked team overall in the league. Also ranking from the ACC are No. 8 North Carolina, No. 9 Louisville, No. 10 Florida State, No. 17 Clemson, No. 25 Duke, No. 28 Wake Forest and No. 30 NC State.

Tech was also ranked No. 17 in the country by Collegiate Baseball and received votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, unofficially ranked 32nd.

Georgia Tech’s upcoming schedule remains jam-packed with the nation’s best heading into 2019, as the Jackets are set to play six top-20 teams this season – five of which are on its home field of Russ Chandler Stadium (UCLA, North Carolina, Georgia, Clemson and Auburn).

Baseball season ticket renewals and new sales are still underway for the upcoming 2019 regular season. Yellow Jackets’ season tickets are available for as low as $125 per ticket – a savings of nearly 50 percent compared to single-game pricing – and secures the best seats in the house this thrilling season.
