Anderson Named All-ACC

April 26, 2002

Georgia Tech tennis standout Roger Anderson has been named to the all-Atlantic Coast Conference team for the second straight year. The 12-member all-ACC team was selected by a vote of the league’s nine head coaches and announced Friday by the conference office.

A junior from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, Anderson is Tech’s No. 1 singles player, posting a record of 28-14 overall, including 15-9 in dual matches. He was 4-3 in ACC play.

Anderson achieved a career-best No. 18 national ranking in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles poll. He led the 40th-ranked Yellow Jackets to a 15-10 record and a berth in the ACC Tournament championship match, in which Tech fell to 25th-ranked North Carolina by a 4-3 score.
