RHP Micah Owings missed his scheduled start due to a gluteusmuscle strain as well as a groin injury. PH Eric Patterson (.237) was 0-for-1. LF Jay Payton(.250) went 0-for-3. 1B Mark Teixeira (.273) was 1-for-3with a double, two walks and a strikeout. C Jason Varitek(.216) went 0-for-4 with a walk and three strikeouts.
