CF Brandon Boggs (.250) doubled in his only at-bat. CFMarlon Byrd (.111) was 0-for-3 including a strikeout. 3BNomar Garciaparra (.375) went 2-for-3 with three RBI. LFMatt Murton (.500) went 0-for-2 with a walk. 2B DavidNewhan (.500) was 1-for-3 with a walk. Micah Owings handled DH duties and went 1-for-5 including astrikeout. 2B Eric Patterson (.300) led-off and played the entire gamewhile going 2-for-5 with a bunt single and an RBI double along withtwo strikeouts. 1B Mark Teixeira (.000) was 0-for-2. CMatt Wieters (.l43) saw his first duty of the spring in thefield while going 1-for-3 with a run scored and a strikeout.Wieters was charged with a passed ball but also threw out one ofthe two runners who tried to steal against him.
