Alex Cruz Dismissed From Tech Baseball Team

March 11, 2014

THE FLATS – Senior pitcher Alex Cruz has been dismissed from the Georgia Tech baseball team due to a violation of the Athletic Association’s student-athlete policy.

Cruz, an All-America selection by College Baseball Insider as a sophomore, had made six appearances on the mound in 2014 with a 2.30 ERA and one save. Over his career, the Woodstock, Ga., native posted a 10-6 record as a pitcher, four saves and a 3.44 ERA.

Cruz will remain enrolled at Tech through the spring semester.
