Came to Tech with impressive junior credentials, having won three junior titles in 2006 and qualifying for the U.S. Junior Amateur twice … Played in nine events in his Tech career, averaging 75.7 over 26 rounds … Red-shirted in 2007-08, due in part to a bout with mononucleosis … Graduated in December of 2011 with his bachelor[apos]s degree in Industrial Engineering … Four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2011-12: Competed in the Brickyard Collegiate as a counting member of the Jackets, tying for 20th, and the United States Collegiate Championship as an individual … Finished the year with a stroke average of 73.2 over six rounds, or 1-over-par.

2010-11: Played in four events as an individual, averaging 76.1 strokes over nine rounds … Best finish was 21st at the Yellow Jacket Classic, T38 at the Grub Mart Collegiate.

2009-10: Did not play in a fall event, but played two in the spring … T44 as an individual at the Linger Longer, and finished 72nd at the Puerto Rico Classic … Stroke average was 76.67.

2008-09: Only event he played in 2008-09 was the Carpet Capital Collegiate, tying for 78th.

Amateur: Advanced through local qualifying for the 2011 U.S. Open … Finished 4th at U.S. Amateur sectional qualifier at Grove City, Pa., getting second alternate spot (141, -1) … Qualified for 2010 U.S. Amateur … Won the 2006 West Penn Amateur at age 18, the youngest winner of that event since Arnold Palmer did it in 1947 … Shot rounds of 68 and 62, setting tournament records for low round and low 36-hole score … Also posted a T-45 at the Southern Amateur.

High School: Lettered one year in golf at Sewickley Academy, following two years at St. Stephen[apos]s School (in Florida) and one at Peters Township High School … Helped Sewickley Academy to a district championship in 2006, and became Western Pennsylvania regional champion the same year … Member of a state championship team at St. Stephen[apos]s in 2004.

Junior Golf: High ranking of No. 23 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Index and No. 32 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard … Western Pennsylvania Junior Player of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2005, winning the West Penn Junior Championship all three years … Captured three junior titles in 2006, the AJGA Ringgold Telephone Company Junior Classic, the Western Pennsylvania amateur and the FCWT IMG Academies Classic … Also posted top-10 finishes at the AJGA Smithfield Junior Championship and the AJGA Mizuno Junior at Chateau Elan, and finished 23rd at the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions … Qualified for the U.S. Junior amateur in 2005 and 2006, advancing to the second round of match play in 2006.
