@GeorgiaTechFB Announces Series with USF

Oct. 30, 2014

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech will play a future home-and-home series with American Athletic Conference member USF, the Athletic Association announced Thursday.

The Jackets will host USF on Sept. 11, 2021, and travel to Tampa on Sept. 10, 2022. Georgia Tech and USF will meet for the first time.

“Adding USF gives us good regional games against a historically strong program,” Georgia Tech AD Mike Bobinski said. “It continues to solidify our scheduling model of playing quality non-conference opponents, in addition to our eight-game ACC schedule.”

With the addition of USF, Georgia Tech will have an AAC opponent four times in a five-year span. The Jackets will host Tulane in 2018 and travel to New Orleans in 2019.
