ATLANTA – Georgia Tech and the Atlantic Coast Conference announced today game times and television information for four of the Yellow Jackets’ 12 regular season football games in 2008.

Tech’s season opener Aug. 28 against Jacksonville State, the debut of head coach Paul Johnson at Bobby Dodd Stadium, will kick off under the lights at 7:30 p.m. The Thursday night game will have an internet-only broadcast on ESPN 360.

The Yellow Jackets’ ACC opener Sept. 6 at Boston College will kick-off at 12 p.m. and will be televised regionally by Raycom.

On Sept. 13, Georgia Tech’s game at Virginia Tech will have a 3:30 p.m. start. That contest will be televised regionally by ABC and will be seen outside of the region on ESPN.

The Jackets will appear on ESPN’s Thursday Night package for the 16th straight year when Tech hosts Miami Nov. 20. That game will kick-off at 7:30 p.m.

The remaining eight games on Georgia Tech’s schedule will be listed as TBA. The ACC and its television partners announce the majority of all other game times 12 days in advance of each game.

Nineteen games involving ACC teams will be televised over the first three weeks of the season. ACC teams will also play a combined seven times on ESPN’s Thursday Night package. ABC will nationally-televise the ACC Championship Game, held this year for the first time in Tampa, Fla.
