Day 1 Of The Buzz Classic Cancelled Due To Unplayable Field Conditions

March 7, 2008

WOODSTOCK, Ga. – Day 1 of the Buzz Classic has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions following the heavy morning rain at the Twin Creeks Softball Complex. Officials had pushed everything back four and a half hours hoping that the fields would dry out in time, but they were still soaked and muddy forcing the cancellation of day one.

Saturday will follow the original schedule and then Friday’s pool games will be played on Sunday. Some game times may be altered based on when certain teams have flights out of town. Up to date times will be available at www.ramblinwreck.com as soon as they become available.

Bracket play has been cancelled and the tournament champion will be based on results from pool play and tie-breaker scenarios. The Yellow Jackets will take on Minnesota at 1:00 p.m. and then Western Michigan at 3:30 p.m. Live stats for all Georgia Tech games will be available via Gametracker at www.ramblinwreck.co
