Talented player that will pitch and hit … A gamer with a good approach at the plate … Has gap-to-gap power… A competitor on the mound who displays very good control … One of the top lefties out of the bullpen in 2009 and 2010, but was All-ACC at first base in 2011 … Will be looked to out of the bullpen and is a candidate to start at first base or designated hitter again in 2012.

2011
First baseman earned All-ACC Second Team honors … started 56 games, 51 at first base and five as a designated hitter … Batted .347 with 13 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 35 RBI … Carried a .416 on-base percentage and a .482 slugging percentage … His batting average was the sixth-best in the ACC and the second best on the team … Hit a .368 clip in conference games alone, third best among the league … A key cog during Tech’s 16-game win streak early in the season, batting .400 with 26 hits, four home runs, and 15 RBI during the stretch … Made one relief appearance on the mound, tossing 1/3 of an inning against Kent State on Feb. 20 … In the second game of the season opener, hit .500 on the day and scored 2 runs in the Wreck’s win (February 19) ….
