Played in 31 games during his rookie season and made seven starts… Hit .233 with a pair of doubles, six RBI and five runs… Went 1-for-2 with two RBI, two walks and two runs in a 13-0 rout of No. 23 St. John’s on Feb. 25… His first collegiate double drove in a run at Miami as the Yellow Jackets pulled out a 12-3 win in extra innings… Also doubled in his only at bat versus Austin Peay in the NCAA Regional on June 5… Saw all of his action defensively at third base.
High School
Three-sport star in football, basketball and baseball at the Darlington School in Rome, GA… Four-year letterwinner and three-year captain as an infielder and pitcher under head coach Chad Woods… Named Rome-Tribune Co-Player of the Year as a junior in 2009 along with current Yellow Jacket Mott Hyde … Named Region Player of the Year and a member of Georgia Dugout Club All-State as a junior in 2009… Named All-Region and All-State as a senior in 2010 after batting .530 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI… Played for the prestigious East Cobb Yankees program under head coach James Beavers… Also a two-year letterwinner and one-year captain of the football team as a middle linebacker under coach Tommy Atha… Named to All-State team, All-Area team, and Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2010… Posted 19 tackles in one game during his senior year… Also played one season and won a letter as a small forward in basketball under head coach Jim Van Es.
