As A Senior In 2014-15: Named the ACC Swimming & Diving Male Student-Athlete of the Year… NCAA All-American in both the 50 free and 100 free… ACC All-Academic Team for the third straight year… Completed one of the most-accomplished swimming careers in Georgia Tech history… Graduated from Tech holding five individual records and three relay records… Became the first-ever Yellow Jacket to earn the ACC’s Student-Athlete of the Year award in swimming & diving… Finished fifth overall at the NCAA Championship in the 50 free, setting a school record with a time of 19.10 and earning All-America honors in that event for the second straight year… Was 12th in the 100 free at the NCAA Championship (42.42) to also earn All-America honors in that event… Earned a pair of medals at the ACC Championship, finishing second in the 100 free with a school record time of 42.30, and third in the 50 free (19.23)… Was fourth at the ACC Championship in the 100 fly in a school record 46.36… Anchored the 400 free relay at the ACC Championship that claimed the bronze medal in a school record time of 2:52.47… Also anchored the fouth-place and school-record-setting 400 medley relay at the ACC Championship (3:10.06)… Won a team-leading 27 individual events during the regular season… Swept the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and 100 fly versus Duke… Swept the 50 free, 100 free and 100 back versus Cincinnati… Won the 100 free at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Swept the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free in a pair of meets versus Pitt/Georgia Southern and Notre Dame/South Carolina.

As A Junior In 2013-14: NCAA All-American… ACC All-Academic Team… Established himself among the ACC’s best sprinters… Set school records in the 50 free, 100 free and as part of the 800 free relay… Won a team-best 12 individual events during the season… Was named the Speedo National Performer of the Week on January 8th… Qualified for the NCAA Championship for the second consecutive season… Finished 15th nationally in the 50 free at the NCAA Championship, breaking his own school record in a time of 19.42 and becoming Tech’s first point-scorer at the NCAA Championship since 2010… Was part of the 800 free relay that eclipsed an NCAA ‘A’ cut at the ACC Championship and broke the school record in a time of 6:23.68 to finish fourth overall… His impressive ACC Championship continued with a fifth-place finish in the 50 free (19.51), fifth in the 100 free (42.84 — school record) and 12th in the 100 fly (47.43)… Was also part of the 200 free relay (sixth), 400 medley relay (seventh) and 400 free relay (sixth)… His lead-off leg to the 800 free relay of 1:35.65 was Tech’s fastest 200 free time of the year and the second-fastest in school history.

As A Sophomore In 2012-13: Named to the ACC All-Academic Team… Set the school record in the 100 back (47.53) at the NCAA Championship and established a career-best in the 50 free (19.74) at the ACC Championship… Was Tech’s leading point-scorer at the ACC Championship, finishing sixth in the 50 free (19.74), fifth in the 100 free (43.46), 13th in the 100 back (48.40) and swimming on four of the five relays that finished no worse than sixth… Won eight individual events during the season, including a sweep of both the 50 and 100 free events in two meets (versus Georgia; versus Virginia Tech/FGCU)… Was named the ACC Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 24… Won the 200 free versus College of Charleston… won the 100 back at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Won both the 100 back and 100 free versus Emory… Each of the four relays he swam at the ACC Championship set the second-fastest time in Tech history… Teamed with Eric Chiu, Andrew Chetcuti and Nico van Duijn to finish fourth in the 200 free relay in 1:18.26… The same group swam the 400 free relay at the ACC meet and finished fifth in 2:55.48… The 200 medley relay of Kosic, Nicholas Colletti, Matthew Vaughan and van Duijn finished sixth at the ACCs in 1:27.11… The 400 medley relay of Kosic, Vaughan, van Duijn and Eric Chiu were sixth in 3:12.78.

As A Freshman In 2011-12: Named to the ACC All-Academic Team… Tied diver Brandon Makinson for a team-leading 10 individual event victories… Broke the school’s 100 free record with a time of 43.23 at the Ohio State Last Chance Meet in early March… Was the only freshman swimmer in the ACC to score in both the 50 and the 100 free at the ACC Championship… Scored points in all three individual events he entered… Sprinted to a fifth-place finish in the 50 free at the ACC Championship in a season-best time of 19.80 that ranks fifth on Tech’s all-time list… Was also fifth in the 100 free in 43.46 – the second-fastest time in Tech history… Claimed an 11th-place finish in the 100 fly in 47.76, which stands as the third-fasted time in Tech’s books… His 200 free to lead off the 800 free relay (1:19.09) at the ACC Championship ranks third on Tech’s all-time list – that relay was clocked in 6:35.78 to rank sixth all-time at Tech and finish seventh at the ACC Championship… Kosic also swam on three other relays that cracked Tech’s all-time list, including both the 200 free relay and 400 free relay that rank second… The 200 and 400 free relays finished sixth at the ACC Championship… Has a big meet versus Virginia Tech and Miami in Blacksburg by helping lead the 400 free relay to a new pool record (3:01.26), winning the 200 free (1:40.28), winning the 50 free (20.59) and taking second in the 100 free (45.34).

Personal: Born Andrew Wesley Kosic on May 27, 1993 in Neward, Del. … Parents are John and Pamla Kosic … Brother of Allison and Abby … Mother, Pamela, was a swimmer at West Chester University … Cousin Conor Swanson swims at the University of Texas … Chose Tech for the swim team and coaches, the academic prestige, and the swimming facilities … Started swimming at the age of eight … Most memorable athletic accomplishment was winning the 2010 Short Course Junior National Championship in the 100 free … Plans to major in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
