Jackets Fall to Fifth-Ranked Baylor, 6-1

WACO, Texas – Georgia Tech fell, 6-1, to the fifth-ranked Baylor Bears Sunday slipping to 5-7 for the season.

Georgia Tech swept all three doubles matches to take an early lead. Scott Blackmon and Jose Muguruza defeated Baylor’s duo of Lars Poerschke and Denes Lukacs, 8-5, while Eric Molnar and Luke Rassow-Kantor downed previously undefeated Matija Zgaga and David Galic 8-6. Georgia Tech’s George Gvelesiani and Jordan DeLass added another win for the Yellow Jackets defeating Dominik Mueller and Matt Brown 9-7.

Baylor bounced back, downing Tech in all six singles spots to earn the 6-1 win Sunday.

The Jackets return to action Tuesday, March 21 when they face Atlantic Coast Conference foe Miami at 2:00 p.m. in Coral Gables, Fla.
