March 6, 2015

THE FLATS – Both Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have been honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for academic achievement in the Fall 2014 semester.

The men’s team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.33 in the Fall semester, which ranked as the 11th-highest in Division I and the second-highest among Power 5 schools behind Michigan State (3.41). The women’s team was honored after posting a GPA of 3.17.

The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for that semester.

The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coaches organization in America. In addition to Scholar All American Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All American Swimmers and Divers at the national championships every year.
