Biography

Nester joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in December 2017 as the athletic spirit coordinator & head cheerleading coach.

Nester came to The Flats after three years in Toledo, Ohio as the spirit coordinator/head cheerleading coach at Bowling Green State University.  At BGSU, he was responsible for the planning and execution of the cheerleading squad, dance team and mascot programs.  As the head cheerleading coach at BGSU, his cheerleading squads receive bronze medals at the 2015 and 2017 UCA Collegiate National Championships.

Prior to Bowling Green, he was the cheerleading coach at Radford University and assistant women’s gymnastics team at Virginia Techniques Gymnastics.

He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. During his undergraduate career, he competed at the NCA Collegiate National Championships and was a four year letterwinner.
