2019 Track:
Indoor: Competed at four meets… helped lead the DMR group to a first place finish (9:46.85) and the 4×400 relay group to a second place finish (3:14.13) and won the 400m in 47.89 at the Power Five Invitational… ran in the 400m at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, finishing in 47.66. Outdoor: Competed at eight meets… had a stellar showing at the Georgia Tech Invitational, finishing first in the 400m with a PR time of 46.45, and helped the 4×400 relay group to a first place finish with a time of 3:10.29… helped the 4×400 group finish first (3:11.89) at the Yellow Jacket Invitational…led the 4×400 group to a first place finish with a time of 3:10.32 at the FSU Relays… competed at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial, finishing first in the 4×100 with a time of 40.17 and second in the 400m with a time of 47.07… turned in thee top-eight finishes at the ACC Championships, placing second in the 4×400 (3:13.06), fourth in the 400m (47.12) and sixth in the 4×100 (40.58.
2018 Track:
Indoor: Made himself a staple of the 400 crew in his first year on the Yellow Jackets … recorded a top indoor 400m time in the finals of the ACC Championships where he ran a 46.98 to finish sixth and receive all-ACC honors … helped the 4×400 relay group to a first-place finish (3:13.96) at the Commodore Invitational … ran a 1:20.55 in his lone 600m of the season at the Orange & Purple Invitational. Outdoor: Set his PR in the 400m in his first race of the season, running a 46.59 at the Yellow Jacket Invitational to finish third – ranking sixth in the ACCf … qualified for the NCAA East Preliminaries where he turned in a time of 46.73 (26th) … also ran in the 4x400m relay, helping record a 3:09.73 to finish 18th … led the 4×400 relay group to a gold finish (3:09.37) at the Yellow Jacket Invite … also ran a 21.43 in his lone 200m appearance of the season, finishing third at the North Florida Invitational.
Emory University: Attended Emory University for two years (2015-16)… helped Emory to a 2015 UAA outdoor conference championship … in 2016, was USTFCCCA scholar athlete of the year and USTFCCCA South/Southeast region indoor athlete of the year … was NCAA DIII outdoor 400m national champion and indoor runner-up … was UAA indoor and outdoor 400m champion … named all-UAA six times … in 2015, named NCAA outdoor all-American and academic all-American … a four-time all-UAA performer … won UAA conference 400m indoor and outdoor title … named UAA indoor and outdoor rookie of the year and Emory freshman athlete of the year … holds both outdoor UAA 400m and indoor UAA 400m record, set in outdoor and indoor championships – times also rewrote Emory record book.
High School: Attended Seabury Hall High School … a multi-sport athlete, lettered two years in track and field/cross country and four years in soccer as a midfielder/defender … was Maui Interscholastic League (MIL) 400m champion as well as Hawaii state 400m champion in 2014 … named MIL co-track athlete of the year … holds MIL 400m record from his 2014 championship run … also holds Seabury Hall 400m school record … earned honor roll in 2011 and 2012, as well as made headmaster’s list in 2013 and 2014.
Personal: Intends on majoring in mechanical engineering … chose Tech because of engineering school as well as the athletics department … enjoys surfing, hiking, soccer and longboarding in his spare time.
