2019-20 (Sophomore): Competed in four events and three meets this season … Turned in her best 50 free time of the season (24.12) at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Finished fourth in the 100 back (56.60), and also competed in the 100 free (54.40) against Florida State … Competed in the 100 back (58.97) and 200 back (2:11.01) at the Rice Invitational.
2018-19 (Freshman): Competed in the 50 and 100 free, and 50, 100 and 200 back events for the Jackets in her first season … Her 100 back time (55.10) at the ACC Championships ranks ninth on the program’s all-time list … Swam her fastest 50 free (23.74), 50 back (26.11), 100 back (55.10) and 200 back (2:00.58) at the ACC Championships … Earned her best 100 free time of 54.12 at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Turned in her second-best finishes of the season in the 50 free (24.15), 100 back (55.10) and 200 back (2:00.61) at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Finished fourth in the 200 back with a time of 2:05.90 against South Carolina … Placed fourth in the 100 back (58.72) at the FAU Fun in the Sun Invite … Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Before Tech: A four-year letterwinner at Walton High School for head coach Ty Vernon … A team captain her senior season … Earned all-American honors in 2018 in the 200 free relay … A Swimming Georgia all-county selection in both 2017 and 2018 … Named to the GHSA all-state team in 2015 … A key part in helping her team when the 2016-17 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Swimming & Diving 6-7A state championship … A four-time GHSA 6-7A State Championships finalists in the 100 back finishing second in 2018 (56.70), third in 2017 (56.80) and sixth overall (57.73) in 2016 … Finished seventh overall at the 2018 GHSA 6-7A State Championships in the 50 free (24.14) … Turned in a personal-best time of 24.09 in the 50 free … Holds the Cobb County 200 free relay record … Also has personal-best marks of 26.37 in the 50 back, 56.42 in the 100 back and 2:02.86 in the 200 back events … A 2018 USA Swimming scholastic all-American … A member of the English Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Beta Club and honor roll … Also a scholar-athlete award winner.
Personal: Third eldest of four siblings … Brother, Jake, swims at West Virginia University … Father, Jim, played football at University of Dayton (1985) … Enjoys rock climbing, playing the cello and water sports … Started swimming at five years old following in her brother’s footsteps … Chose Tech because of the academic opportunities, athletic competition within the ACC and the because of the team and coaches … Intends to major in industrial engineering.
