Before Tech: A four-year letterwinner in swimming under head coach Steve Navarro at Westlake High School … Served as a team captain as a senior … A two-time NISCA all-American … Led his team to four-straight regional and district championships from 2015-18 and to a state runner-up finish in both 2016 and 2017 … A two-time first-team all-state performer in both the 200 and 500 free events (2017 and 2018) … Placed third overall in the 500 free (4:28.92) at the 2018 UIL Texas 6A State Championships … Also finished fifth in the 200 free (1:40.71) at the 2018 Texas state championship meet … Was a 2018 UIL 6A Region 3 champion in the 500 free (4:34.54) … Was also an open water nationals qualifier … Set the Austin Swim Club program record in the 1000 free … A three-time USA swimming scholastic all-American … Graduated in the top 10 percent of his graduating class … A National Merit Scholar … A member of the Aerospace Design-Build-Fly Club.
