Kate (Kuzma) Kantor joined the Georgia Tech softball staff as a volunteer assistant coach on July 3, 2017.

Kantor spent the the 2016-17 season as an assistant softball coach at Duke University, working with catchers and outfielders defensively and with hitters offensively. She worked heavily with recruiting, coordinating communication and scheduling with recruits.

Prior to joining the Duke staff, Kantor was a graduate assistant in athletic event management and a graduate assistant softball coach at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill while earning her Master of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science. As a graduate assistant coach, Kantor served as the tournament director for several tournaments including the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Kantor also interned with the Atlantic Coast Conference office as a brand and marketing intern from 2013-14. She also was an intern with the Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship, working with freshman relations, promotion and brand marketing.

As a player, Kantor, then Kuzma, was a standout athlete on The Flats. She was a member of three regular season ACC Championships (2009, 2010 and 2011) and three ACC Tournament Championships (2009, 2010 and 2012). A two-time all-ACC, all-ACC tournament and all-region selection, Kantor reached the NCAA Tournament all four years on The Flats and reached the school’s only NCAA Super Regional in 2009. She was also a team captain for her junior and senior campaigns.
