ANKLAM, Germany – In the fourth match of its German international tour, the Georgia Tech volleyball team fell to the Schwerin Club team, the former club team of Maja Pachale, in five games, 25-22, 18-25, 25-21, 23-25, 12-15 on Tuesday afternoon. Maja Pachale led the Yellow Jackets with 18 kills and 12 digs, while Kyleen Bell chipped in 17 kills and 11 digs. Jessica Dickerson had a team high 16 digs and Kele Eveland recorded 49 assists.

“This was one of the most exciting and intense matches I have been involved with since coaching here at Georgia Tech,” said Shelton Collier. “We had a huge enthusiastic crowd, an excellent opposing team, and our players really stepped up and raised our level of play. Teams and players can really learn a lot from playing so well in such a highly competitive match, and I am very proud of our team for rising to the occasion. We really made a huge step tonight as a team.”

The team returns to action on Thursday when it will face the German Junior National Team, composed of players 19 and under, in Berlin.
