Volleyball Hosts Exhibition with Auburn

THE FLATS –Georgia Tech volleyball hosts Auburn on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 4 p.m. in O’Keefe Gymnasium for a preseason exhibition match.

Admission to the event is free and parking is available free of charge in the McCamish and East O’Keefe parking lots. It is the final competition before the season opener for the Jackets.

Head coach Michelle Collier enters her fifth season at the helm of the program. With eight new faces taking the court this season, Saturday provides a chance for fans to get familiar with the 2018 roster. The Jackets return 11 from the 2017-18 squad, including three starters: junior Kodie Comby and sophomores Cori Clifton and Sam Knapp.

Fans had a first look at the Jackets last weekend at the Gold/White Scrimmage. It was the first time the Jackets played under a videoboard in O’Keefe Gymnasium.

The Yellow Jackets open their season on Friday, Aug. 24 when they host Idaho State (12 p.m.) and Winthrop (7 p.m.) at O’Keefe Gymnasium as part of the Hyatt Regency Invitational. Tech also hosts Abilene Christian and Georgetown on Saturday, Aug. 25 as part of the tournament. Fans can purchase single game and season tickets for the upcoming 2018 season here.
