Tech Battles SCAD, Clemson Saturday At The GT Aquatic Center

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech swimming & diving team welcomes Savannah College of Art & Design and Clemson to the GT Aquatic Center on Saturday morning. The meet begins at 11 a.m. and admission is free.

Tech and SCAD will battle in pool, while the divers will battle Clemson.

Junior sprinter Andrew Kosic remains highly-ranked in the ACC in a number of events, and is one of just two ACC swimmers ranked in the top-six in each the 50, 100 and 200 free. Kosic is second in the 50 free (20.36), fourth in the 100 (44.68) and sixth in the 200 (1:38.84).

Junior Nico van Duijn is among the ACC leaders in the 100 and 200 fly, and sophomore Yuval Safra is in the ACC’s top six in the 500 and 1000 free. On the women’s side, divers Shannon Lumbra and Ashley Hardy rank seventh and eighth, respectively, in the ACC on the three-meter springboard.

Following Saturday’s meet, the Yellow Jackets remain home to host the GT Invitational, set for Nov. 22-24.
