Summer Update - Georgia Tech Golf

Led by James White, who has a legitimate chance to make the United States Walker Cup team later this summer, Georgia Tech’s golfers have acquitted themselves well on the amateur circuit. Competition will be tight for spots on the travel team in the fall. Here’s a look at each player’s highlights this summer. Anders Albertson – 3rd at the Georgia State Amateur Championship in Atlanta (280, E) … Fourth at the Monroe Invitational in Pittsford, N.Y. (280, -5) … Tied for 4th at the Greystone Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. (289, +1) … Tied for 17th at the Dogwood Invitational in Atlanta (279, -9)

Bo Andrews – Won the Greystone Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. (282, -6) … Tied for 5th at the Players Amateur in Hilton head, S.C. (280, -8) … Tied for 14th at the Southeastern Amateur in Columbus, Ga. (286, +2) … Won two matches and reached the round of 16 at the North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C. … Tied for 51st at Southern Amateur in Tampa, Fla. (294, +10)

Seth Reeves – Won the Southeastern Amateur in Columbus, Ga. (278, -6) … Tied for 5th at the Georgia State Amateur Championship in Atlanta (284, +4) … Tied for 12th at the Dogwood Invitational in Atlanta (277, -11) … Tied for 14th at the Greystone Invitational (293, +5)

Ollie Schniederjans – Tied for 4th at the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier in Ball Ground, Ga. (won playoff for 2nd alternate) … Tied for 11th at the Sunnehanna Amateur in Johnstown, Pa.
