Mike Castle joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association as the director of ticket sales and operations in August 2016 and was promoted to assistant athletics director in 2018.

He came to The Flats after five years at Old Dominion University where he worked as the director of ticketing and the assistant athletic director of ticketing. He oversaw all ticket operations for ODU athletics, including 34-consecutive home football sellouts. He also directed ticketing for special events for the on-campus Ted Constant Convocation Center and served as the regional director of ticketing for Spectra Venue Management, overseeing ticket operations for eight arenas across the east coast.

Castle’s arrival at Georgia Tech marks his return to the Atlanta metro area, as he spent seven seasons as ticket sales and operations manager for the Atlanta Braves’ triple-A club, first in Richmond, Va. (2004-08), then in Gwinnett County (2009-11). He played a major role in the successful sales launch of the Gwinnett Braves and the opening of Coolray Field in 2009.

Castle also worked as a community relations intern for the then Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2003.

Born in Silver Spring, Md. and raised in Williamsburg, Va., Castle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of William & Mary in 2003.

He and his wife, Allison, have two children: Avery and Carter.
