2017-18 (Senior): Competed for the Yellow Jackets in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly events all season long … Was also a key member of the free relay units … Posted a pair of NCAA B qualifying times – 22.98 in the 50 free and 54.27 in the 100 fly … Set new career-best times of 22.98 in the 50 free and 50.92 in the 100 free at the 2018 ACC Championships … Turned in the second-best time of the year for Tech in the 100 fly (54.27), which ranks fourth all-time in Tech’s record books … Registered the third-fastest time on the season for the Jackets in both the 50 free (22.98) and 100 free (50.92), which both rank in the top 10 in Tech’s record books … Also posted the 10th-best time on the team in the 100 back (1:00.32) on the season … Swam the third leg of the top 200 free relay (1:31.44) and the second leg of the top 400 free relay (3:18.43) times on the year for the Jackets, which also rank second all-time in Tech’s record books … Also swam the third leg of the Jackets’ second-fastest 200 medley relay time (1:41.27) on the year … Totaled 10 top-10 individual finishes on the year … Placed third overall in the 50 free (24.63) at SCAD and in the 100 fly (56.99) on Senior Day versus Emory … Recorded a fourth-place finish in both the 50 free (24.30) and 100 fly (57.99) in the season-opening meet versus Pittsburgh … Also placed fourth overall in the 100 fly (57.68) at Notre Dame and in the 100 fly (57.59) at Northwestern in dual meet action … Touched the wall in fifth-place in the 50 free at Northwestern (24.44) and in the 100 back (1:00.32) at home against Delta State … Picked up a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 50 free (24.26) and 100 fly (57.11) events in the dual meet at South Carolina … Finished 23rd overall in the 100 fly (54.27) and 35th in the 50 free (22.98) at the 2018 ACC Championships … Recognized as a 2017-18 CSCAA scholar all-American honorable mention.

2016-17 (Junior): Had a strong junior season competing for the Jackets in the 50 and 100 free events, 100 back, 100 fly and relays … Part of the 200 free relay team that set a new school record with a time of 1:30.73 at the 2017 ACC Championships … Also a member of the second-fastest 200 free relay time (1:31.92) and the third-fastest 200 medley relay time (1:42.22) on the season for Tech … Recorded the third-best time on the year for Tech in the 50 free (23.23) and the fourth-fastest time for the season in the 100 free (51.59) … Also posted the fifth-fastest time for Tech in the 100 fly (55.30) and the eight-best mark in the 100 back (58.21) … Turned in new career-best times in the 50 free (23.23) and the 100 back (58.21) … Picked up 13 top-10 finishes on the season in the individual events … Took second-place overall in the 100 fly (57.10) in the double-dual meet at BC and Pitt … Finished fourth overall in the 50 free (24.69) versus Georgia Southern … Touched the wall sixth overall in the 50 free versus BC and Pitt (24.43) and against Georgia (24.36) … Also finished sixth in the 100 fly versus Georgia (57.59) and against Florida State and SCAD (57.98) … Swam in the 50 free (23.23), 100 free (51.59) and 100 fly (55.30) events at the 2017 ACC Championships … Named a team co-captain.

2015-16 (Sophomore): Had another strong season for the Jackets … Swam career-bests in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly … Turned in a career-best 50 free time of 23.29 at the ACC Championships, ranking her fourth all-time in Tech history … A member of the record-breaking 200 free relay squad at the ACC Championships with Alex Rieger, Maddie Paschal and Chiara Ruiu with a time of 1:31.62 … Recorded a career-best time of 54.79 at the ACC Championships in the 100 fly, which was good enough to rank her fourth on Tech’s all-time list … Went on to finish 23rd overall in the C-final in the 100 fly event at the championships … Touched the wall in a career-best time of 51.17 in the 100 free at the ACC Championships, which placed her tenth on Tech’s all-time list.

2014-15 (Freshman): Enjoyed an impressive freshman season … Led the Jackets in the 50 free and contributed to three relays that posted top-10 times in school history … Was Tech’s leading finisher at the ACC Championships in the 50 free with a time of 23.54, which ranks as the seventh-fastest in school history … Also clocked a season-best time of 51.63 in the 100 free at the ACC Championships … Swam the fly leg of the 200 medley relay at the ACC Championships that clocked the second-fastest time in school history at 1:41.88 … Led off the 200 free relay at the ACC Championships that finished 11th with a time of 1:33.52, the fifth-fastest mark in school history.

Before Tech: Lettered for four years and was a two-year captain at Alpharetta High School … Helped lead her team to Fulton County championship titles in each of her four years on the team … Tabbed Alpharetta’s team MVP in each of her four seasons … A four-time academic all-America selection … Was also a member of the Dynamo Swim Club.

Personal: Full name is Morgan Claire Lyons… Born September 11, 1995 in Greenville, S.C … Daughter of Jill and Richard Lyons … Older sister, Carly, swam at UCLA from 2008-12 … Chose Georgia Tech because of its academic reputation and the growing swimming program … Began swimming at the age of six thanks to her sister … Majoring in business administration.
