Mike DeGeorge Joins Yellow Jacket Sports Information Office

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech Athletic Association announced the addition of Mike DeGeorge to the sports information office as an assistant director.

DeGeorge comes to Georgia Tech after spending the previous five years at the University of Richmond and will be the Yellow Jacket contact for baseball, swimming and diving and serve as a secondary contact for football.

During his time with the Spiders, DeGeorge was the primary contact for the nationally-ranked football team, which won the 2008 Division I National Championship. He also served as the media contact for baseball, men’s and women’s golf and women’s swimming and diving.

Prior to his arrival at Richmond, DeGeorge was a sports information assistant at Xavier University where he worked with men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, and men’s and women’s swimming teams, as well as the secondary men’s basketball contact.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., DeGeorge earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Dayton and worked in the Flyers’ athletics communication office for four years.
