Jackets Victorious in Game Two in Italy

PORDENONE, ITALY – Georgia Tech women’s basketball picked up its second win in Italy on Friday, defeating Bosnia’s U19 Orlovi Banja Luka 96-18. The teams met for the second time in two days.

“It is a great opportunity for us to see so many different lineups and combinations today,” noted head coach MaChelle Joseph. “Our defensive intensity has been impressive! I am pleased with the aggressiveness we have played with on the defensive end.”

Chanin Scott led the Jackets with 17 points followed by Zaire O’Neil with 12. Kaylan Pugh put together 11 points and a team-best seven rebounds in the contest. A total of five Jackets reached double-figure scoring numbers in the game.

The Jackets led 13-0 at the first break in the opening stanza and 26-2 at the end of the first quarter. Tech entered halftime leading 57-6 and owned a lead of 80-11 entering the final frame.

Tech plays its final two games of the trip next week.
