@GTSwimDive Hosts Women’s NCAAs This Week

March 15, 2016

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center will serve as the host site for the 2016 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, which will be held Wednesday through Saturday.

For the second time in program history, Georgia Tech and the McAuley Aquatic Center will serve as the host site for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. Georgia Tech previously hosted the 2006 NCAA Championships and the CRC was also the site of the 1996 Summer Olympics swimming and diving competitions.

“We are very excited to host the NCAA Championships over the next two weeks at one of the premier pools in the country,” head coach Courtney Shealy Hart said. “Our staff has done a tremendous job getting our venue ready. It is a fast pool, and I am looking forward to seeing the record board rewritten.”

Competition will begin Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET with the 800 free relay. Live results can be followed at http://bit.ly/2524O9r. Additionally, fans can watch the action for Wednesday, Thursday and prelims Friday and Saturday at www.atlantaswimming.com/Webcast. Friday and Saturday’s finals will be streamed live on ESPN3.
