Georgia Tech to Kick Off 2000 Football Season With 10th Annual Kickoff Celebration and Fan Photo Day

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech hosts the 2000 Fan Photo Day on Sat., Aug. 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The event, which offers fans the opportunity to take pictures and get autographs from their favorite Yellow Jacket players, will be held in the West Stands Festival Area at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

The 2000 Georgia Tech football team and coaching staff will be joined by Buzz and the Yellow Jacket cheerleaders in the annual event to kick off the football season.

Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase available season tickets.

On Fri., Aug. 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Fox Theatre Egyptian Ballroom, the Yellow Jackets celebrate the beginning of head coach George O’Leary’s sixth season and honor the 1990 national championship team with the 10th annual Georgia Tech Kickoff Celebration dinner. The dinner features a fully catered dinner buffet, a silent auction, a live auction, the Georgia Tech cheerleaders, pep band, Buzz and the Ramblin’ Wreck.

The silent auction will feature more than 100 items, including items signed by the 1990 national championship team members. In addition to the silent auction and live auction, there is an ongoing online auction at www.ebay.com.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Greater Atlanta Georgia Tech Clubs’ Scholarship Fund and Georgia Tech athletic scholarships.
