Entry #14

Sorry you haven’t heard from me lately but as you know, we have had a very busy first half of the season.

Today marks the start of our first ACC game this season and we are all very excited. We have been working tremendously hard the last couple of months and now that we are finally getting into ACC play it seems like time has gone by so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were in preseason conditioning getting prepared for our first game of the season and now the regular season games are just about half way over. I’m very proud to say that the first part of our season went well. We finished 2008 off with an eleven and two record and the two close games that we lost, to UCONN and Texas, really taught us a lot that has helped us prepare better for ACC play.

Over the past couple of months I have began to see our young team grow up and mature so much. Generally we don’t realize it but coach reminds us often about how well we carry ourselves to be so young and I think this factor has really play a part into why we have had so much success this far. As of now we are rank 22nd which has also made history for this program because this is the highest Georgia Tech Women’s basketball team has ever been ranked and we plan on working even harder to continue to be ranked in the top 25. We are making history for our team every single day and I am so thrilled to be a part of it.

Tonight at 7 p.m., the Boston College Eagles could be the first team we beat during the ACC portion of our schedule. I encourage everyone to come out and watch. With all the excitement that has built up as we have be anxious to start ACC play, this will be a game you don’t want to miss.
