Day Two Complete at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Georgia Tech track and field team completed the second day Friday at the 121st year of the Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at historic Franklin Field.

Chris Burnett, Alexander Reese, Nat Estes and Zane Coburn ran the men’s DMR in 10:01.21 to take sixth out of 25 relay teams to highlight the day.

The men’s 4×100-meter relay team of Zachary Gunnz, Spencer Allen, Broderick Snoddy and Reese finished in 42.25. In the women’s 4×200-meter relay, Jamilah Middlebrooks, Domonique Hall, Jazmyne Taylor and Angelica Henderson crossed the line in 1:41.01.

Middlebrooks, Marinice Bauman, Hall and Shannon Innis ran the sprint medley relay in 4:07.96 to wrap up the running events for the day.

In the field events, Carissa Tipler placed 29th in the triple jump with a distance of 11.69m (38-4.25). Myles McDavid placed 10th in the men’s long jump with a lead of 7.19m (23-7.25).

Action continues for the Yellow Jackets at the Penn Relays on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the men’s triple jump.
