Clear Bag Policy

To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into Georgia Tech Athletic Association facilities, the GTAA will implement a policy beginning with the 2018-2019 academic year that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into stadiums/arenas. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a 4.5″ x 6.5″ clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, grocery bags, cinch bags, non-approved chair backs and seat cushions**, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. Full policy | Clear Bag FAQs

Clear Bag Policy

 

The following items ARE PROHIBITED from entering Bobby Dodd Stadium:

  • Beverages
  • Food
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Cans
  • Coolers or ice chests
  • Thermos/metal bottles
  • TVs
  • Ice bags
  • Bags (not compliant with Clear-Bag Policy; see below)
  • Horns or other noisemakers (bells, whistles, etc.)
  • Laser pointers
  • Video cameras
  • Selfie sticks
  • Cameras with lenses longer than 4″
  • Sticks or flag poles
  • Flags or banners larger than 3’ x 5’
  • Animals (except service animals to aid guests with disabilities)
  • Weapons, including those carried with a permit
  • Fireworks or other explosives
  • Illegal drugs
  • Strollers
  • Personal transportation devices (skateboards, hover boards, scooters, etc.)
  • Inflated balls of any type
  • Stadium seats (chair-backs/seat-backs/seat cushions) WITH arms, pockets, compartments, and/or covers
  • Umbrellas
  • Electric/battery-powered blankets
  • Personal heaters
  • Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate by security or game management

 

PROHIBITED BAGS:

  • Backpacks of any type
  • Printed pattern plastic bag
  • Fanny pack
  • Purse
  • Grocery bag
  • Duffel bag
  • Large tote bag
  • Camera case
  • Computer bag
  • Binoculars case
  • Cinch backpack
  • Diaper bag
  • Colored plastic storage bag
  • Any other bags deemed non-compliant by security or game management

 

The following items ARE PERMITTED to enter Bobby Dodd Stadium:

    • Game Tickets
    • Certified & leashed service animals in accordance to the ADA title II and III Law
    • Binoculars
    • Banners, signs & flags without sticks or poles (no larger than 3′ x 5′)
    • Empty personal/plastic water bottles (that can be filled inside the stadium at water fountains)
    • Blankets (non-electric/non battery-powered)
    • Stadium Seats (chair-backs/seat-backs/seat cushions) WITHOUT arms, pockets, compartments, and/or covers
    • Medical Assistance Devices
    • Breast Pumps & Supplies
    • Baby food (with child in arms)
    • The following bags:
      • Tote bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
      • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar), AND/OR
      • Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand), can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bag options
      • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate by respective gate supervisor
