Huggins has been a head coach for more than 30 years, including the last five with West Virginia. Huggins led the Mountaineers to a 19-14 record and a number 10 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament. West Virginia fell to Gonzaga in the second round. Huggins rose to prominence during his 14-year stay at Cincinnati. He led the Bearcats to eight regular-season Conference USA championships, four tournament championships and was named the C-USA Coach of the Decade in 2005.

Gregory is in his ninth season as a head coach, having just finished his first year with Georgia Tech. Before the Yellow Jackets, Gregory was the coach of Dayton for eight years where he led the Flyers to two NCAA Tournaments and an NIT championship in 2010. Gregory began his coaching career as an assistant at Michigan State in 1990. He moved on to assistant positions at Toledo and Northwestern before returning to Michigan State in 1999.

Byrd has been the head coach of the Belmont Bruins since 1986. In 2001, the Bruins joined the Atlantic Sun Conference and have appeared in the NCAA Tournament five times, including this year as a number 13 seed. Belmont lost to Georgetown in the second round. Byrd has been named the Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year for two consecutive years, and three times overall.

Clark began his head coaching career in 1989 at Tulane University. He was named the Metro Conference’s Coach of the Year in 1991 and 1992 and led the Green Wave to the regular season title in 1992. In 2000, Clark took the head coaching position at Miami (FL) where he stayed until 2004. In 2007, he started at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where he remained until 2011.
