>> Winners of four straight games, Georgia Tech enters a crucial stretch that includes midweek games versus in-state rivals Georgia Southern and Savannah State and a home series versus No. 2 Florida State this weekend.

>> The Yellow Jackets are looking to split the season series with Southern after dropping a 4-3 decision in Statesboro on February 19. Tech and SSU are meeting for the only time this year.

>> Tech is fourth in the ACC with a .278 team average, boasting a balanced attack with seven players hitting above .280. Thomas Smith’s .315 average is 16th in the ACC. The Jackets are seventh in the ACC in ERA (3.30) and fifth in fielding (.968).

>> Tech’s bullpen totaled 11 innings of relief in the Duke sweep, recorded saves in each game and allowed just one run (0.82 ERA). Over Tech’s last 11 ACC games (7-4), the `pen has pitched to a 1.62 ERA and accounted for four wins and three saves.

>> Senior 2B Mott Hyde’s current 10-game hitting streak is one shy of the career-long streak he had as a freshman. Hyde is hitting .366 (15-for-41) with six RBI and six runs over the current streak.
